By participating in this tour, you not only enjoy various kinds of unique dishes of the Southwest but also sense the bustling life of a developing city and walk on the streets full of motorbikes, an image often seen in Vietnam and many other Southeast Asian countries.
Highlights
Walk on the crowded streets in the center of Can Tho City and enjoy the specialties of the Mekong Delta in particular and Vietnamese culinary culture in general, such as bò nướng lá lốt (grilled beef in lolot leaves), nem nướng (grilled pork skewers), banh cong (a crispy traditional dish with prawn and fried flour), spring rolls, and have a sip of beer at Ninh Kieu Quay.

06:30 PM:Our tour guide will pick you up at the ancient market in Can Tho.
06:45 PM: Along Chau Van Liem Street, you come to a small restaurant to try bò nướng lá lốt – grilled beef in lolot leaves. Beef is rolled with lolot leaves, skewered, and then grilled with charcoal. You will roll it with rice vermicelli and a variety of herbs in rice paper, then dip the roll in soy sauce or special fermented fish sauces.
07:30 PM: Walking on Hoa Binh Avenue, the busiest road in the capital city of the Southwest, you are awaited by the taste of nem nướng at the most famous restaurant in Can Tho. Nem nướng, special grilled ground pork skewers, is originally a traditional dish in Central Vietnam, but the dish has been adapted for people in the South.
08:00 PM: Going on the journey of “food hunting” in Can Tho, you should try having bánh cống on De Tham Street. It is a special dish of the Khmer people made of flour fried with prawns and green beans. Its name, “Bánh cống” means a kind of fried dish that has the shape of a tube (“Cống” means tube). It is eaten with many vegetables and a sour-sweet fish sauce.
08:30 PM: After enjoying many delicious dishes that must be tried when visiting the Mekong Delta, let’s continue the trip to Ninh Kieu quay and have a bottle of beer while watching the sparkling Can Tho river and the urban daily activities of local people.
09:30 PM: Our tour guide takes you back to Can Tho Ancient Market to finish the tour.
